The park now benefits from a full size ping pong table.
The Parks department of Ipswich Borough Council have recently installed 2 compost toilets in the park to replace the very old toilets. The toilets are wheelchair accessible.

Thanks to the Council's South East Area Committee and Tesco for funding the equipment.

From the activity on the wildlife day, the bug boxes that were made there have now been put up in the meadow. Bird boxes have also been put up.. The wildflower meadow is also looking good. I

More Good News
Tesco Bag for Life has awarded £1000 towards the adult exercise equipment. A cheque was presented to the Murray Park Friends and Councillors .
The new goals have now been installed and operational. These were partly funded by the Council’s South East Area Committee and the Football Foundation. The remaining funds from the South East Area Committee are to be used for Adult exercise equipment.

A "Hole Filling Working Party" made the park much safer this morning by filling in a lot of the ubiquitous holes.

New safety gates at Ipswich’s Murray Park have been officially opened.
The five gates are “self closing” and are designed to prevent children or dogs running out of the park and into the busy road. The gates, which were funded by Ipswich Borough Council’s South East Area Committee, were opened by committee chair Councillor Sarah Barber and Friends of Murray Park chair Sue Bird.
We now have a NEW full size tennis court and a Multi Use Games Area.This has been funded by a £50k Biffa Award, South East Area Committee and Section 106 planning funds
The old derelict tennis courts have been removed and the area designated as a wild meadow area. We hope to develop this area for wildlife and involve local children in activities on there.
