What we have achieved,
- The group has successful applied for Sec 106 funds and an South East Area Committee grant. These funds will cover around half of the funds needed for new tennis courts and to redevelop the area of the old courts. This totals £72k. We have just applied for another £50k from Biffa, This will allow us to build 1 tennis court and 1 Multi Use Games Area.
To date we have.
- Applied to the Council for Section 106 money and other local Council funding.
- Apply for a grant from BIFFA to finance a feasability study. Also we are applying for a small grant from the South East Community Forum.
- Constructed a working group and met monthly
- Completed a comprehensive consultation process (see consultation document for full details)
- Discussed and researched many development options for the park
- With the assistance from the local council, we've got the courts open with a temporary fix and have had a notice board erected to aid communication with the park users.
